The short version.
- 🙅 No account. You don't give us a name, email or password to use the App.
- 🍎 Apple Health powers your buddy on your devices. Health history is not sent to our AI or subscription providers. Selected game and progress information can sync to your paired Apple Watch and widgets.
- 📸 You choose whether to send meal photos to Google's Gemini through Firebase for nutrition estimates. You can turn future uploads off. Google may retain request data for safety and abuse prevention.
- 💳 Purchases are anonymous. Apple handles payment; our subscription provider receives a random app ID, purchase information and technical details, without your name, email or Health history.
- 🚫 We never sell your data, and we never use health data for advertising.
1. Who we are
ChubbyPuppy is made by BringIt LG, LLC ("BringIt", "we", "us"), a company based in Miami, Florida, United States. This policy explains what information the ChubbyPuppy app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, its widgets and extensions (the "App") and the website chubbypuppy.ai (the "Site") collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. 2. What the App collects, and why
Most of what ChubbyPuppy knows about you lives only on your device, in the App's private storage. Here is every category of data the App touches:

3. Meal photos and AI
Before the App sends a food photo, it asks for your consent and explains that Google processes it through Firebase AI Logic. The photo and an instruction prompt are sent over an encrypted connection to estimate foods, portions and nutrition. The App creates a fresh JPEG without camera or GPS metadata. It does not attach your Health history, profile, name or email to the model request. Network and SDK requests can still include technical information such as IP address, app and SDK versions, and App Check attestation.
You review the estimate before saving nutrition to your local journal. ChubbyPuppy does not create a shared photo gallery, public photo URLs or a server-side photo archive. Photos are temporary scanner/request data. Optional AI content logging and provider in-memory caching are disabled in our current configuration. Google's separate safety and abuse-prevention retention may still apply; we do not promise immediate deletion from every provider system.
You can decline photo analysis or use the privacy control in the Treat Scanner to turn off future uploads. Revoking consent stops new requests; it cannot recall a request already received by Google. See Google's data-governance information for its provider terms and retention practices.
The AI coach, the Snack Court judge, and in-character notification text are generated by Apple's on-device Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence) on supported devices. Those prompts never leave your iPhone.
4. Apple Health
ChubbyPuppy uses Apple's HealthKit framework with your explicit permission. We use Health data only to provide the App's health and fitness features. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing or data mining, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with any third party. You can review and change the App's Health permissions at any time in the Health app (Sharing → Apps) or in iOS Settings.
5. The website
If you join the waitlist on the Site, we collect your email address, the date, the button you used and your browser's user-agent string, permitted campaign tags (such as source, medium and campaign), the landing-page path and referring website hostname, and store them in Google Firebase (Firestore). We use this only to tell you when ChubbyPuppy launches and for occasional product news, and you can ask us to remove you at hello@chubbypuppy.ai. Automated confirmation and launch-email delivery are not active yet. The Site uses Google Analytics for Firebase to count visits and sign-ups, which sets cookies (for example _ga) and processes your IP address and device information. The Site also loads fonts and scripts from Google Fonts, Tailwind and cdnjs; those providers receive your IP address when your browser requests the files.
6. How we use information
- To run the App and Site and provide the features you ask for (performance of our contract with you).
- To process and restore purchases and prevent fraud (contract and legitimate interests).
- To fix bugs, monitor service reliability, measure subscriptions and improve the App (legitimate interests, or consent where required).
- To send launch and product emails you signed up for (consent; withdraw at any time).
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use.
7. Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers needed to run ChubbyPuppy, and only the minimum they need:
- Apple — App Store purchases, HealthKit, Apple Intelligence, Sign in with Apple, App Attest and crash reports, under Apple's privacy policy.
- Google (Firebase / Google Cloud) — Gemini food recognition, App Check, Remote Config, Firestore for the waitlist, service diagnostics and website analytics.
- RevenueCat — subscription entitlement management, using an anonymous ID.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users or the public, or as part of a merger or acquisition (in which case this policy will continue to apply). We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. The App contains no third-party ads and no advertising SDKs.
8. How long we keep it
- On-device data (game state, health data, food and weight logs) stays until you delete it in the App or delete the App. Remove data from each device or companion where it is stored; nutrition you wrote to Apple Health remains in the Health app under your control.
- Meal photos are temporary scanner/request data and are not saved in our own photo store. Google may retain request data for safety and abuse prevention as explained in section 3.
- Purchase records are kept by Apple and RevenueCat for as long as needed to honour your entitlement and meet accounting and legal obligations.
- Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Website analytics and service diagnostics follow the applicable provider settings and retention practices. We do not promise a single retention period across all providers.
9. Your choices and rights
- Permissions. Camera, Health and notification access are each optional and can be changed in iOS Settings. Without Health access the puppy can't track your activity; without the camera you can't scan meals.
- Delete. Delete the App to erase everything stored on your device. Email us to delete your waitlist entry.
- Access, correction, portability, objection. Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA, UK, Switzerland, Brazil and U.S. states such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and Oregon) you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Email hello@chubbypuppy.ai and we will respond within the time required by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
- California. We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. The categories of personal information we collect are described in section 2 and 5.
- Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control. Because we do not sell or share data for advertising, these signals do not change how we operate.
10. Children
ChubbyPuppy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information (for example a waitlist email), contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
All data sent from the App or Site travels over encrypted (TLS) connections. On-device data is protected by iOS data protection. We keep no user database of health data, which is the best protection of all. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your device passcode enabled and iOS up to date.
12. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our providers (Apple, Google, RevenueCat) may process the limited data described above in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers are protected by standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
13. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be announced in the App or on the Site, and the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated policy.
